Infinite Possibilities

In our final project we have been asked to create a short film bring the message of infinite creative possibility to life. This refers to the Microsoft Surface brief in which Miscrosoft states that the Microsoft Surface is a new way to create and collaborate and has infinitive possibilities.

We have talked branded content and what makes it different than traditional advertising. So what is the Branded content?

Branded content can include articles, videos, podcasts, and even live elements that bring relevant value to the consumer. It is not advertising in the way most people think of advertising (commercials, banner ads, social media ads, etc…). The key is grabbing the attention of today’s consumer and driving real engagement through content. Branded content can entertain people or teach them something, resulting in better brand engagement returns.

I have done some research on what makes great branded entertainment and content on D&AD site and found few great examples.

In the class we were asked to create a mind mind of our understanding of the motto “Empower everyone to do and achieve more”.

After watching the ad for the Microsoft Surface it triggered a lot of emotions in students.

We were very much overwhelmed with things that you can do with the computer and different items that come with it such as stylus pen and the way you can tilt the screen.

So my creative art of the brain has an idea already now I just need my technical side of brain to make it possible in a very short space of time. Cutting corners may be considered.

My idea is to create a video that would represent a journey full of adventures. The world created would be a real life world but in a cartoon form with a real life person as a main character to represent the person being taken away by the possibilities and experiencing different type of situations. The story will be very dynamic and with elements representing also the overwhelming feeling that people get when thinking of using complex software or new technological inventions.

In my next blog I will write more about it.
